Earning and Saving: Get in the habit of saving.

The Joy I Get From Saving
I started my business in 2011. I would always look at the big competitors and say, "when I make it that big, I'm going to buy this , this, this and EVERYTHING!". lol What I have found is that I made more money and have only wanted to SAVE. The first month I made over $50k in my new store, I didn't spend a quarter. I put it away. I don't think I would have done this, if I had not read the book GirlBoss, by Sophia Amoruso the founder of NastyGal. Now we make over $50k consistently and I have no urge to go buy my dream car or just throw money away.

In her book she spoke about the time she saved $1 Million dollars in four years and kept taking screen shots because she never thought she would see the money again. This is where I am. I get so much joy from saving. I drive the same car and I actually even downsized my home. If money is spent it is on the business. I look at it like feeding my baby. lol. I will say this. If you have a business, set up two accounts for that business atleast.

Use one account to save profits, and the other to pay bills. Make saving automatic.

I learned that making money was not about consuming more. She really reminded me that the more you earn the less you will spend. Saving is a habit. You have to practice it and really have disipline  about doing it. Trust me. You will start to relish in it.

Saving is also about living BELOW your means.  NOT WITHIN.

Pick up a copy of her book. Its a good quick read.
